Smart home devices are still an under-appreciated area of consumer technology. New technologies tend to each have their own “break-in” period, which requires the resources and the outreach to consumers, explaining to them how and why the new technology will be beneficial. Every new technology will have its proponents and naysayers, as they debate the potential real-world application. One aspect we are finding out about smart home devices is that consumers are underestimating the positive impact these devices can bring into their households.
According to a recent survey from Frontier Communications, 71% of those surveyed said they found their smart home devices to be more beneficial than expected. The top two benefits noted in the survey were convenience (75% of respondents) and usefulness (62% of respondents).

When measuring the personal impact of the smart home devices in use, a whopping 51% of respondents said the device “very much” provides a positive impact on their lives. Only 3% of correspondents said smart home devices did not positively impact their lives at all.
SPYR, Inc. (OTCQB: SPYR) is one smart home device company that is continuing to lay the groundwork necessary to be a formidable player in the industry. Since we last checked in on SPYR, the company has laid out an aggressive sales growth initiative for its first branded device, the MagixDrive Wireless CarPlay Device.
SPYR Technologies: MagixDrive Wireless CarPlay Device Recap
As a refresher, SPYR, Inc. (dba SPYR Technologies) is a Colorado-headquartered technology company that is focused on the emerging multi-billion dollar smart home industry. The company operates a wholly-owned subsidiary, Applied MagiX, Inc., which develops and sells Apple ecosystem-compatible products.

In early June 2021, SPYR Technologies launched its first official branded product called MagixDrive, which is a wireless Apple CarPlay product. MagixDrive enables iPhone and Apple device users to wirelessly access CarPlay and “enjoy a premium experience.”
With the MagixDrive product now available for purchase on the Applied MagiX website (https://appliedmagix.com/shop/carplay/magixdrive-wireless-carplay/)
and eBay (http://bit.ly/eBay-MagixDriveWirelessCarPlay), management has laid out plans for aggressive sales and marketing initiatives.
SPYR Announces Collaboration to Ramp Up Marketing and Sales Growth
On August 3, 2021, SPYR Technologies announced that it has retained TVA Media Group (TVA), a marketing & advertising business with a 34-year history of creating successful media and production campaigns. TVA’s client roster boasts some major Fortune 500 companies: Six Flags, Best Buy, Canon, Epson, Jenny Craig, Lexus, Marriott, MasterCard, Sitelock, Sony, Ubisoft, Universal Studios, Verizon, and more.
TVA’s reputation is equally impressive with an “A+” rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), a Class 1 D&B credit rating, hundreds of happy customer references, and more. In short, SPYR picked a great, standout firm to assist with its growth initiatives.

TVA will initially produce two nationally-televised TV commercials, which will be designed to sell the MagixDrive product directly to consumers. The TV commercials will air no less than 48 times “in every major city within the U.S.,” according to SPYR. This includes cable and satellite channels, which equates to around 10,000 localized ad spots. Aside from the planned TV advertising, TVA will feature the MagixDrive device as a “top story” on its homepages throughout the campaign (http://www.entertainmentworldnews.tv, www.healthworldnews.tv and www.businessworldnews.tv).
“Engaging TVA Media is exciting and the most effective strategy to help us garner the visibility and traction we need to jumpstart sales on our MagixDrive devices,” commented Dr. Harald Zink, CEO of Applied Magix. “We will also utilize these commercials on our websites and social media accounts in synergy with TVA’s marketing initiatives,” noted Dr. Zink.
Overall, SPYR’s latest move to expand marketing and sales for its MagixDrive device marks an important milestone for the company. The product launch itself was successful, but SPYR’s collaboration with TVA could potentially unlock MagixDrive’s true value. Not to mention, the national TV ads will be a great source of exposure for SPYR and its device to consumers. Keep an eye on SPYR in the months ahead. The TVA collaboration could be just what the company needs to throw sales growth into high gear.
