What this site does not do
There is no analytics package on any page. No Google Analytics, no tag manager, no pixel, no heatmap, no session recorder, no A/B testing tool. There are no accounts, no logins, no newsletters and no forms that submit anywhere. This site sets no cookies of its own, and there is no advertising and no advertising network, so there is no cross-site profile being built from your visit here.
There are also no third-party embeds. Fonts are served from this domain rather than a font CDN, images are served from this domain, and there is no chat widget, social embed or comment system. A page from this site loads from this site.
What the tools do with what you type
The calculators run entirely in your browser. Figures entered into the payoff calculator, the F-Score worksheet or the Z-Score calculator are used to compute the numbers displayed and are never transmitted, stored or logged. Reloading the page clears them. The platform comparison writes your selection into the address bar so that the link can be shared; that selection is part of the URL and nothing else.
What happens regardless
Any web server receives a request in order to answer it, and the hosting infrastructure for this site processes ordinary technical data: the address requested, a timestamp, the browser's user-agent string and the connecting IP address: for the purpose of delivering pages and keeping the service secure and available. This is a technical necessity of the protocol rather than a choice made here, and it is not used to build any profile of a visitor.
Your own browser also stores things this site cannot see or control, such as its cache. If a page here links to another site, that site's practices apply once you follow the link, and they will differ from these.
Who is responsible for this page
Round Lot is published by Round Lot Media LLC, 37 Kingsbridge Row, Suite 210, Wilmington, DE 19805, United States. Naming the publisher matters more on a page like this one than on any other: a privacy statement is a commitment by someone, and a commitment with nobody behind it is a paragraph. Anything concerning this page, including a request about personal data, reaches the same desk as everything else, at [email protected], which is the practical route for anything time-sensitive.
Your rights
Where data protection law applies to you, it grants rights over personal data held about you, typically including access, correction, erasure, restriction and objection. Because this site operates no analytics, no accounts and no marketing, there is in practice no personal data set held here to exercise those rights against. Any request or question about privacy can be sent to the editorial address on the contact page and will be answered.
Why the site is built this way
Partly principle and partly consequence. A static reference has nothing to personalize, so measurement would collect data in exchange for information nobody here would act on, and with no advertising or affiliate arrangement behind the pages, there is nothing an audience profile would be used for in the first place. Self-hosting the fonts and images removes the third parties that would otherwise see your request as a side effect of a page loading, and it makes the site faster, which is the more visible benefit.
Changes
If any measurement, cookie or third-party service is ever introduced, this page will be updated before it happens rather than afterwards, and it will say what was added and why. A privacy page describing a state of affairs that has already ended is worse than no page at all.
