Maris-Tech, Ltd. (NASDAQ: MTEK) is an Israeli, business-to-business (B2B) provider of adanced video transmission technology. The company’s video technology is utilized for electro-optical payload, RF datalink, UAV, and more. Shares of the advanced video technology company are surging 32% through early trading on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. Over the past three months, Maris-Tech has seen average daily volume of 170,220 shares. However, volume of 60.88 million shares or dollar volume of around $93.15 million, has already exchanged hands through early trading.
Shares of Maris-Tech are rallying after the company announced that its technology has been selected by SpaceIL to take part in the Beresheet 2 Lunar Mission’s Israeli lunar spacecraft. SpaceIL is an educational organization that promotes science and became the first private entity in history to reach the moon back in 2019. During the initial mission to the moon back in 2019, Maris-Tech’s Neptune-Space video recording and streaming solution was utilized. Maris-Tech has since launch its upgraded video solutions, now called Jupiter-Space.
The Beresheet 2 Lunar Mission will involve three spacecrafts: one orbiter and two landers. The orbiter is planned to be launched from Earth with the two landers attached. The orbiter will then be tasked with releasing the landers on the moon at different times, as the orbiter plans to continue orbiting the moon for several years. Maris-Tech’s Jupiter-Space technology will be utilized on both the landers and the orbiter.
